Heathrow Airport

Heathrow Airport, modelled specifically for Genesis IG, consists of a complete terrain compliant airfield with runways, taxiways, taxiway marker boards, taxiway lines, aprons and full lighting. A full set of buildings including control tower, terminal and passenger areas with jetways and docking arms. Also included are all maintenance hangars, car parks, hotels and ancilliary buildings inside the airport perimeter. Blast fences and floodlights have also been modelled. The model has been constructed using a combination of geo-specific and unique textures to re-create the buildings as accurately as possible. The model contains multiple LOD's and as can be seen all the buildings and features are sat on 12.5cm real-world aerial photography for accurate positioning and added detail. All buildings and airfield detail has been modelled in Open Flight (.flt)

Generic Airfield

      

The model above is a phototextured generic model. It has full airfield and environmental lighting giving full day/dusk/night capability. The environment provides a detailed coastline and UK geotypical features with both urban and rural detail. A sceondary airfield in the environment can be adapted and positioned to reflect a variety of scenarios.
